Antonio Carmona López-Pintor, born on March 6, 1995 in the La Mancha town of Arenales de San Gregorio, emerges as a virtuoso percussionist musician with training that ranges from the Alcazar de San Juan Professional Conservatory, in Ciudad Real, to his graduation from the Victoria Eugenia Royal Conservatory of Music in Granada. His constant search for excellence leads him to currently complete a Master’s degree in flamenco at the School of Creative Music in Madrid.
Throughout his career, Antonio has collaborated with a wide range of artists of diverse musical styles, demonstrating his versatility and skill. From being part of Pepe Rivero’s Big Band to working with outstanding musicians such as Jorge Pérez González from Patax. In the beginning, he was part of the production of the group “La Plazuela” and has shared the stage with renowned singer-songwriters such as Javi Medina, Mario Palma, Jose Carlos Escobar and Kike Bueno. Furthermore, his participation with renowned Granada flamenco artists, such as El Petete, Josele de la Rosa, Pablo Fernández “El Gato” and Dani de Rojas, has consolidated his presence in the flamenco scene.
Antonio has left his mark on large-scale projects, being a fundamental part of the 2022-2023 tour of rapper Juancho Marques and collaborating on OCO THE SHOW, accompanying artists of the caliber of Estrella Morente, Tim Ries and Bernard Flowers of the Rolling Stones , along with prominent dancers such as Yiyo Fernández, Tete Fernández and Belén López. Currently, he is part of three shows directed by dancer Eduardo Guerrero and is immersed in a project with Juan Valderrama, son of the famous singer Juanito Valderrama. Additionally, he participates in the show called “PASAJE” by dancer Juan Carlos Avecilla, demonstrating his versatility in different artistic expressions.
Highlighting his love for the fusion of genres, Antonio is the official percussionist of the flamenco jazz group of maestro Juan Antonio Salazar, accompanied by talented musicians such as Alejandro Escalera, Jose María Pedraza “Petaca”, Dan Ben Lior and Santi Cañada. As part of his commitment to musical creation, Antonio has contributed to the recording of numerous albums and collaborations, while managing his own recording studio, where he records his percussion and drum performances to order. In addition, he shares his knowledge through personalized private percussion and drums classes, consolidating himself as a complete musician forged between jazz, flamenco and modern music.
